How clinical procedure content is presented and how it should be used.

Educational Use Only. This app is not intended to replace instructor guidance, institutional policies, clinical judgment, or professional medical training.

1. Purpose of Procedure Content

The clinical procedures, step-by-step guides, checklists, and simulations provided in Nursing Skills Lab are study aids intended to reinforce concepts taught in accredited nursing programs. They help you review and self-assess your understanding — they do not replace supervised clinical practice.

2. Always Follow Your Institution

Every healthcare facility has its own policies, protocols, and provider orders. When performing any clinical procedure in a real setting, you must:

  • Follow your institution's official policies and procedures
  • Adhere to your scope of practice and state/national regulations
  • Verify provider orders before acting
  • Use only equipment approved and provided by your facility

3. Content Sources and Review

Procedure content is developed from widely accepted nursing fundamentals and current evidence-based references. However, clinical standards evolve. We periodically review and update content, but we cannot guarantee that every step reflects the latest published guideline at all times. Always cross-reference with current institutional protocols and authoritative sources.

4. Practice Mode and Simulations

Interactive practice modes, quizzes, and the mannequin simulator are designed for learning and self-assessment only. Results and scores are for your personal progress tracking and do not represent clinical competency certification. Passing a quiz or completing a simulation does not qualify you to perform a procedure on a patient without proper supervised training.

5. Video Consultations

Video consultations connect students with instructors for educational guidance. These sessions are not medical advice, telehealth services, or clinical care. Instructors provide teaching and mentorship only. Any clinical question about a real patient must be directed to the appropriate licensed provider at your facility.

6. Reporting Content Concerns

If you believe any procedure content is inaccurate, outdated, or unsafe, please contact Base44 support so we can review and update it promptly.
